Welcome to Bulldog Federal Credit Union, a member owned and operated, not-for-profit financial cooperative chartered in 1968. You can join if you live, work, worship, or attend school in Washington County, Maryland, or if you are related by blood or marriage to a current member or to anyone who is eligible to be a member.

Unlike other financial institutions, a Credit Union is owned and controlled by the people it serves. Credit Unions are formed when groups of people pool their money as savings in order to make low-cost loans to each other and to control their own financial destiny. Credit Unions are democratically run. Each member has an equal voice in the operation of the Credit Union.

Unlike other financial institutions that exist to make profits for stockholders, Credit Unions return all net earnings, after normal expenses and reserve requirements are met, to its members in some way.
