1. You live, work, worship, or attend school in Washington County, Maryland.
2. You are in the immediate family or household of a current member or anyone who is eligible for membership.
3. You represent a business or other legal entity in Washington County, Maryland.
4. You are a volunteer in the community.
5. You are an employee of the Credit Union.

Becoming a member is easy. Once you establish your eligibility by meeting one of the above criteria, simply visit any office to open your Share/Savings account with as little as a $25 deposit. Your Share account opens the door to all of our other products and services.

If you are in immediate family of anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Washington County, MD, regardless of whether or not that person is a member, then you are eligible to join. Your relationship to that person (known as the primary member) establishes your eligibility, not his or her relationship with the Credit Union. Once the primary member’s immediate family member joins, then that person’s immediate family members are also eligible to join the Credit Union.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) defines "immediate family" as spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, and adopted children.

NCUA defines "household members" as those individuals living in the same residence and who maintain a single economic unit. This includes anyone who is a permanent member of and participates in the maintenance of the household. Domestic partners and anyone who lives in the household and can demonstrate a degree of permanency will be considered to be household members.
